10/10 would bookmark again

This is a subreddit based around sharing awesome, usually minimal and single-purpose websites and webtools. Also, note to self: If this subreddit gets huge, awesome, if it does not, I will simply use it to back up my bookmarks! << top kek Sure, I'm dissapointed you guys removed my post, I was keen to hear what people on the Internet thought of it. But it mainly saddens me to see beauty constrained by such tyranny

Was just wondering why scrolling through reddit was making me so miserable when I noticed I’d accidentally been scrolling through the “Popular” section instead of my homepage.

But honestly, even my home page has been pretty hard recently. The posts are lovely, but it just seems impossible to go through comments without finding a bunch of assholes who’ve taken the red pill. I’ve already deleted Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok. I literally don’t have any socials but Reddit left, but I’ve been seriously considering deleting it too. It’s hard because I crave connection to the world, but at the same time, I’ve just been fucking miserable.
Edit: Thank you all so much for the attention on this post and for staying up late talking with me last night. I just wanted to clarify a couple points that I’ve mentioned in most of my comments.
1) I almost never go on popular. That was an accident of about 1 hour while using the app. Thumb accidentally swiped right.
2) I already only follow wholesome subs, cute animal subs, and specific hobby subs. I have only followed wholesome/positive subs since the birth of this new account over a year ago.
3) Within the comments of those subs, I still find these miserable, negative comments. Often highly upvoted. For example, one catalyst of this post was a mademesmile post from yesterday where every comment was as insult/“joke” about the woman’s appearance or a comment calling out those comments for being assholes. Did not “make me smile”. Through the early discussion on this post, I decided to leave the larger wholesome communities (mademesmile, aww, wholesomememes) because they often end up on all and draw this attention.

It's kinda ridiculous how nonchalant ESPN is over the Nuggets, just look at their NBA homepage

Nuggets pull off their second 3-1 comeback in a row, which is something we'll probably never see again, with 2 dominant performances by Jokic and Murray, and what are the top stories on ESPN? First is an article by Windhorst with a picture of Lebron and Jokic that essentially talks about how "the path to a fourth title has never been better paved for James." The second is a video of AD and is titled "AD is at his best while playing the most important games of his career" as if he hasn't played in a week and there isn't anyone else who just balled out in an elimination game. After that, there's an article about how teams can pursue Giannis and another about the pressure the Clippers will face next season. The disrespect to the Nuggets is crazy, ESPN is def not happy about them being in the conference finals over the Clippers. If LeBron or some other big market player pulled this off it would be plastered all over their page
EDIT
Mods asked for sources so

Why is Youtube auto playing Trump's attack ads on the homepage?

Seriously I watch cooking shows and RLM, why is this garbage playing when I i'm on the base webpage. Not during a break or before a video, just on the main page. Using Chrome, not in app.
edit: Not playing visibly just the audio blasting out, adblock stops the video but not the audio*
edit 2: Can't find the URL to report it either, not that action would be taken, the amount of money this must have cost is certainly beyond belief

LPT: Set your homepage to "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random" and you'll be greeted with a random, educational Wikipedia page everytime. This is a good way to improve your general knowledge about things easily.

The game "escape spongebob" on the roblox xbox homepage pulls up your card info to make a $100 robux purchase whenever you hit the A button to jump.

This is the scummiest thing I've ever seen. How is this allowed? Why are they even offering a $100 purchase in a kids game and why can the game instantly bring up my purchasing options without having to pass through the store first? I can see some innocent kid just trying to play his game and easily accidently charges hundreds of dollars onto his parents credit card.

Update: Admin intentionally posted everybody’s Zoom links and passwords on the school’s homepage for everyone to see

Well, it took a lot longer than I thought, but I got the email today that multiple classes were bombed, in the same order as the list that was posted, so it was very obvious that they got the links from there. Came in and screamed curse words and spammed chat with rude, inappropriate messages. We were told to put on waiting rooms, mute upon entry, and not let anyone we didn’t know in the call. But also told not to change our links under any circumstances. So glad I changed mine and didn’t tell anyone...

Political ads Auto-playing on the homepage of YouTube: MegaThread

Edit: YouTube has reported that the bug is fixed and it shouldn't be happening. If the phantom audio does show up again, please let us know in the comments below.
Edit 2: The bug was caused by people using adblockers that blocked the visual part of the ad, not the audio, so it started playing.
Edit 3: To clarify, the banner ad is still there, but it shouldn't be a phantom audio playing in the background.
We are very aware of the automatic political ads that played. The modmail has been spammed with dozens and dozens of reports about this topic and the front page of this sub is filled with many repetitive posts.
Remember that this sub is not run by YouTube employees. We are volunteers with no affiliation with YouTube as a comlany. Please do not harass us about it. We have no say in this happening.
We will lock all other threads on this topic so the sub is not overrun with them. Any new threads on the topic will be removed and a 48 hour ban will be given to prevent spam. So please keep the discussion here.

Just crossed arbitrary 165k Net Worth | The Net Worth Number on the Mint Homepage

I don't know if I'm the only one but every time I log into mint.com, I see this number 165,821, https://imgur.com/cEbP1MD, and I ask myself when I will be able to finally surpass it. Well, today is the day folks. I finally have crossed this arbitrarily set net worth goal I placed on myself.
Does anyone else do this sort of thing to stay sane on the FIRE grind? Which ones do you have? I think it will be fun to see what people utilize to stay motivated :)
